While quitting alcohol may or may not be easy, one way to help you succeed is to [a] include another vice and [b] do it with a buddy. If you are going to change your lifestyle and remove consumption of alcohol, then why not quit something else as well? I mean if you smoke, giving up the smokes and booze at the same time could be a double benefit for your body..
Or the aim could be to quit alcohol and lose weight. Often the two are linked anyway but with a detailed plan to shed some pounds or kilos, stopping alcohol consumption will flow effortlessly into your new program..Then there’s the possibility of quitting with a friend. Let’s say you have a relative, friend or business colleague who would also like to quit drinking alcohol. Why not join forces? First there’s the psychological benefit of having a kindred spirit in your camp. And then there’s the practical benefit of going to places and doing things with someone who is in the same boat as you. You both want to quit so you encourage each other and do things together which makes it easier for you to quit.
