Run a marathon?
No, that’s not necessary but being fit is a huge plus. Alcohol is so often drunk by people who feel run down, tired and even exhausted. They need a boost and seek it in the form of alcohol. But if you have lost that excess weight and regularly perform even simple exercises at home, you create a body which doesn’t need a stimulus.Of course if you want to take out a gym membership and prepare to run in a half marathon, then with medical approval behind you, by all means go for it.
But it is possible with only a few minutes a day to keep fit and have a body which is bursting with energy. And this can apply at almost any age.
There are many ways to lose weight and stay healthy and from the exercise point of view, the HIIT or High Intensity Interval Training routines are highly recommended. Basically it means any form of exercise performed at high intensity for a fixed time - say 30 seconds - followed by a rest for half of that time. Repeat the process for say ten minutes a day. It is simple, easy and effective. And you can do it at home and without any equipment.
